Quality Control Technician

Responsibilities

Ensure quality throughout the entire process of producing ready mix concrete to include raw materials, mix designs and finished product
Interacting regularly with customers, sales representatives, operation and production employees, and vendors
Oversee quality control of concrete on job sites
Maintain records and write reports regarding job site issues, driver performance and product problems
Assist in ensuring that job mix formulas are incorporated into mixing plant operations consistent with central laboratory design
Compiles and reports final summaries of testing results from completed projects
Will be responsible for operating the plant and some dispatching duties as needed at manager discretion
Must be willing to obtain certification from American Concrete Institute

Qualifications

High school diploma and some college preferred
Must be able to work flexible hours
Must be reliable.
Must have telephone or other reasonable means by which you can be contacted.
Ability to provide negative pre-employment drug screen
Must be able to do moderately strenuous work, ability to lift over 50 pounds and endure long periods of standing, walking, sitting as well as continuous strenuous activities such as frequent reaching, bending, or lifting.
This position is an outdoor position exposed to all weather conditions
Proven networking and relationship building skills necessary to maintain working relationships with contractors, vendors, and fellow employees
Ability to multi-task
Phone and computer skills a plus
